Spotlight: Hasty Bake Grills
They don’t look like your conventional charcoal grills and smokers, but Hasty Bakes have been around since the late 1940′s and have a devoted following among backyard barbecuers and competitors alike. Available in a variety of models, Hasty Bake charcoal ovens are ideal for smoking, grilling and baking!
Hasty Bake was founded in 1948 by Grant Hastings. Hastings was an industry pioneer, introducing the first portable grill, the first indirect-cooking grill and the first hooded grill. In 1958, Hasty Bake was selected by the US State Department to represent the country at the Brussells World Fair, and the grills have had the honor of being put on display at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.
But Hasty Bakes are certainly not museum relics. They are highly respected, versatile cookers that are well-known in the BBQ world. Hasty Bake grills feature adjustable fire boxes that are below the cooking surface and can be raised or lowered depending on whether you are smoking or grilling. The design of the Hasty Bake firebox eliminates hot spots that can often form near the firebox in offset smokers. Hasty Bakes also feature a full length fire door, allowing the easy addition of charcoal and wood, without having to move grates or food.
Hasty Bakes are constructed by hand using high-quality materials that withstand the test of time. With seven models, including a portable model and a built in model, as well as the cart models, there’s a Hasty Bake for everyone!
